Take a look at this video capturing all the award winning pumpkin carvings done by John Boyd. This man has been featured on NBC’s Dateline as well as appearing in numerous magazine articles and newspapers. He creates a lot of his own patterns, but will occasionally use templates that he has bought.

Some people carve real pumpkins while others will use the foam pumpkin variety. Check out the carving of the scary Jack O’ Lantern, wouldn’t want to meet him in a dark alley. The Grim Reaper holding his sickle shows some true artwork in design. Another good pumpkin design features the cartoon characters Calvin and Hobbes riding in a toy car going downhill.

Your kids will enjoy the SpongeBob SquarePants pumpkin, there are at least two different versions of this Nickelodeon animated character. How about Garfield and Scooby-Doo? Yep, you will find both of these as well. Homer Simpson, Shrek and a young Harry Potter are also included.
